Please discuss your training needs with your manager and let HR know if you need something specific that isn’t available through the contacts below. There are lots of resources available and we are very happy to help you find what you need to develop your skills and knowledge. If you need certain training that others may also benefit from, we may be able to set up a session for staff in-house (or currently remotely).
People and Organisational Development (POD)
POD is the University department which supports management training, coaching and professional skills development.
POD offers a wide range of learning resources, training and workshops including Coaching skills for Managers, Time Management and Building Resilience. All courses are currently being held online and are available to book via the CoSy booking system.
LinkedIn Learning is a huge library of online, video-based courses covering a wide range of software and IT-related topics (as well as soft skills and business skills) for beginners through to expert. The library is available free of charge for College staff. View this short video for instructions on how to login in. You do not require a LinkedIn account to access LinkedIn Learning.

The Skills Toolkit
The Department of Education have released The Skills Toolkit, an online learning platform that offers free digital courses on a number of subjects, including Maths, Computer Essentials, Personal Growth & Wellbeing, and Business & Finance. Explore the courses available and boost your skills.
IT Learning Centre
The IT Learning Centre offers a variety of Digital Skills Courses including Excel and software training. Certain courses are free and others are chargeable depending on the course.
Ellis Whittam is our training provider offering e-learning courses relevant to your role, including GDPR, Equality & Diversity, and Health & Safety training. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you need a reminder of your login details.
Pearn Kandola provides a range of useful webinars on Equality & Diversity issues, for example around sexuality, race, and creating an inclusive environment at work.
